The DET Environmental Education Team includes The Environmental Education and Zoo Education Centres and the Environmental Education Unit at Curriculum K-12.

DET has a network of 23 Environmental Education Centres (EEC) and 2 Zoo Education Centres (ZEC) in NSW, staffed by trained environmental educators. NSW EEC's & Zoo Centre locations.doc

The EEC and ZEC network supports schools:

- by providing resources to integrate environmental education objectives across all key learning areas;

- providing professional development opportunities to teachers;

- implement more sustainable practices in schools (through SEMPs);

- providing opportunities for student learning and environmental leadership.
